Town & Country Resources

Q. How do I make a childcare reservation?
A. To ensure Hotel Nanny availability, the more advance notice you can give us, the better. We encourage hotel guests to make reservations at least 24 to 48 hours in advance, though we are often able to fill last minute requests. Call one of our trained Placement Counselors to make a reservation at 415-567-0956. We are available by phone Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, pacific time.

When you call we will ask for the following information:

1. Your name and mailing address
2. Name and location of your hotel
3. Date and time of desired reservation (start and end time; there is a 4 hour minimum per reservation)
4. Name and age of each child
5. Credit card number (including name on card, expiration date and billing address)

You will be asked to complete our Hotel Guest Application and Referral Agreement and fax them to Town & Country Resources. More information, as well as our Hotel Guest Hiring Guide, is available from our trained Placement Counselors, and can often also be obtained from your Hotel Concierge.

Q. How does Town & Country screen candidates?
A. Our screening process is designed to address any family's number one concern - security. Each Nanny completes a thorough application and rigorous interview process with our trained Placement Counselors. We have extensive conversations with their references to confirm recent work experience and qualifications. We also check each Nanny’s driving record, confirm a valid Social Security number, and run criminal background checks – and for Hotel Nannies we update and re-verify that information every six months. We also conform work eligibility documentation, and require each Hotel Nanny to be CPR certified and have a clear TB test. You can also take comfort in knowing we have placed most of our Nannies numerous times over several years and are familiar with their track record and personal style. Each of our Hotel Nannies has also received 100% positive feedback from all of their Town & Country Temp assignments!

Q. What does a Town & Country Hotel Nanny charge?
A. The minimum Hotel Nanny assignment is four hours. Our Hotel Temp Nannies charge a flat rate of $20 per hour, which you pay directly to your Nanny when the shift ends. In addition, Town & Country charges a Hotel Temp placement fee of $15 per hour when reservations are made with less than 24 hours notice, or $10 per hour when reservations are made with more than 24 hours notice. Payments to our Agency are by credit card, and are non-refundable..

Q. What if I reserve a Nanny and later my plans change?
A. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule changes with the Hotel Nanny that has been confirmed for your assignment. In that case, there is no penalty. If your confirmed Hotel Nanny is not able accommodate the change and we need to do a new Nanny search, then new Agency fees apply for the new assignment. Also, please note that in the case of any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start, the anticipated Nanny wages need to be paid to the Nanny..

Q. I would like to schedule a Hotel Nanny through your Agency – What’s the next step?
A. Thank you for choosing Town & Country Resources to help with your temporary, hotel needs. We look forward to assisting you with your search for a qualified Hotel Nanny. Call us during our business hours, Monday - Firday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, to talk with one of our trained Placement Counselors or to arrange a personal meeting at one of our Bay Area offices.

Find a On-Call Temporary Nanny
"Our Temporary Nanny is great! She got there early, she was totally professional, asked all the right questions, and jumped right in with the kids who really responded positively... That's exactly the kind of response you hope to get from a Nanny, and makes a parent feel like the kids are in good hands. Thanks!" -Jeremy
