Cancellation Policy & Pay
Family Decision: If a family chooses to cancel a job, there are a few potential outcomes for you:
- If the family decides to cancel a job PRIOR to you leaving your home, there is no payment made to a caregiver
- If the family cancels the job WHILE you are en route to a job, you will be paid for one hour of your time.
- If the family cancels DURING the job or once you arrive (to no fault of yours), you will get paid for 4 hours of time.
Caregiver Decision: If you back out of a booking, regardless of the time associated, you will NOT be paid for the job.
That said, if you do need to cancel for any reason, you follow the following steps:
- Inform the parents first if you are not going to make it to your assigned shift.
- Inform the temp department team that you are unable to make it to your assigned shift. Note: the temp team is available from 8:30am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, paired with some weekend coverage. If you are unable to reach us by phone for any reason, send us a text message or an email to temp@tandcr.com. Please give as much notice as possible to allow us to find alternative care.
Additional Notes:
- Please give us as much notice as possible when calling out. Please let us know the night before if you are able. We cannot always replace you, so as much notice as possible is appreciated.
- Our team moves very fast when booking jobs. If you respond to something saying you are available, please make sure you are 100% available. This ensures that we are providing a great experience for you and for the families we support.
